I camped here as a small child with my family. When I got married, my wife and I went each year on Memorial Day weekend. It is truly a primitive camp area - which is a good thing! There used to be pit toilets. Not sure now. Haven't been there in a decade, but getting the itch to go back. Remember: Bring your own water. Pack-it-in, pack-it-out!!! Don't ruin it for others, please!

A dusty road (about 5 miles or so) from Pillsbury Hwy to a water crossing to get to Bear Creek. A number of campsites are usually available, and there are a few "secret" sites that you have to know about. Once you get to the last site, the road climbs, and really is a 4x4 road up to Snow Mtn. Quite a relaxing location, and the creek is nice to sit in. But during low rain seasons, there can be leeches. But we rarely ever had an issue.
