We paid a premium price for the site next to the dunes. It was worth it although the site was leveled sand. Other sites near the entrance were better landscaped. Again no problem.
However what is an issue is, quoting from their emails, “ALL guests are responsible for providing their OWN BOTTLED WATER for drinking and cooking. Surfside water has contaminants and is not always clear. Flushing of system after surfside water use is recommended.”
Surfside Beach itself is wide and open to one way vehicle traffic. Low profile residences line the beach providing an entirely different perspective of the community… as opposed to the views from the highway
Would I visit here again? Maybe…but only if I were able to reserve #58. Otherwise, this is not a “do again” destination.

We were supposed to have the front site by the beach. It would have been AMAZING to be that close to the water with full hookups, but obviously this was out of their control. Still loved staying there and we had unobstructed views from site 52. Would definitely stay here again.

The site was well maintained and management was friendly and helpful. Easy access to beach, bar, and food. Sites 1-8 face the restaurant/bar which has patrons nonstop until after 2am. The weekends are very loud There needs to be designated site parking. The late crowd will park everywhere with no regard for guest. Seems strange that the park implies enforced rules for the paid sites, but doesn't do anything to ensure privacy for the guest. There's much more value placed on the bar guest. If you're there to be up late and enjoy the loud bar scene then there's no worry. You get an easy walk back to your rig. One last note, the water was very murky even with a filter.
Jeremiah would stay here again
