We camped in the middle of September 2020 during COVID. Found the camp spots to be close together but during COVID every other space was closed so we had lots of room. We backed our truck camper in and had just enough space but had full hookups. Spot 71 had a light on a pole that came on at night that blocked our view of the stars and was like daylight at night time. We walked to the ocean and the jetty very nice and easy walk. They had a hill about 500' from the ocean that had several benches to sit on and enjoy the view of the ocean. This campground has 365 sites but because of COVID about 290 were closed. The showers and the play area was closed due to COVID. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The campground was very clean and well cared for. The place was very quiet except for the ocean noise.

Near the towns of Rockaway and Garibaldi and the city of Tillamook. It is a short walk to both the jetty for fishing or a nice beach for relaxing & walking.
The last row closest to the ocean is the most private. Campground is well maintained and clean.

The reason to go here is the beach! It’s a nice beach, even on July 4th it was not crowded. We went over the long 4th of July weekend, so bit of a zoo. At capacity, large groups in each site putting a heavy load on camp resources, some noise going late, no fireworks in the camp, but lots of personal fireworks on the beach (you could hear them in the camp, dog was terrified). The camp is average. Small back in spaces so you will be on top of your neighbors. Best choices would be the pull thru sites or sites 55 thru 74, they have a privacy fence between the two rows. You could dry camp at some tent site, but others are small and have bollards to keep you from backing into them. Park hosts where working hard to keep the camp clean and its regularly patrolled by the sheriff. AT&T Cell is slow (20MB down, 0.2MB up), best service was at the jetty. Bands 2/5/12.

This campground is huge! We stayed Sunday Jan 21st 2018. Aside from the camp host, there was one other RV in an area of 70 some RV sites along with a lot of tent sites. That being said, I probably wouldn't come in the summer, especially on a weekend, because I was told it is a very popular camping area. What we saw of the park was clean and well kept up. Easy walk to the beach and jetty. The one negative was the internet provided by a third party. I tried twice to set up an account. It took my money and then said the account was invalid. I could not find a way to contact anyone for help or a refund. $8 wasn't worth spending much time chasing, so I gave up.

The Q sites are my favorite, close to the beach with lots of trees around and between the sites. Hosts are friendly and if loud people are around you they will gladly move you to another site if any are open. Walk in sites during the summer are generally only available during the week, the campground is usually fully booked for the weekends during summer.

We found this campground to be the perfect base for easy day trips to the north (Nehalem, Manzanita, CannonBeach), or to the south (Tillamook, Oceanside, etc.). We even made quick trip on the 6 east into Portland and back, a beautiful drive through the Tillamook State Forest.
Barview is a popular park, and can get noisy on weekends, but all in all a great place to park while exploring the stunning local coast and parks.

This is a nice county park on the beach. Seemed like mostly locals, and I'm jealous they have such a nice park to hang out at. There is tent camping in the woods, and a few rows of RV hookups in the center. The hookup areas have a few feet of grass and a shade tree, plus a picnic table on a conrete pad. The space was minimally sufficient, without being cramped. The park is kept very clean--minutes after our neighbors left, the grounds crew was cleaning out the site.
There is a good playground with plenty of kids. One campground road leads to an un-crowded beach with plenty of parking, so we had a nice place to hang out, given that Oregon beaches are always cold and windy.
From our site, we were able to pick up the decent-quality 3rd-party WiFi. It cost $4 for the day, or $25 for a two weeks.
We were here on July 4th, so the tent camping areas were packed full of drunk revelers. In fact, the county deputies were patrolling constantly. For much of the night, they parked right outside our rig. So hey, we had our own private security force :)
FYI, we took in the fireworks on Rockaway beach, a few miles to the north. A real treat with fireworks going off all around us! Probably not the safest environment, but super fun nonetheless.
