The sewer was at the back of the site, so had to position RV to make sure our sewer hose would reach. AT&T was only one bar 5G, no WiFi in the park, and we had only 6 usable OTA channels. The best thing about this campground is walking a couple of blocks to the beach! The roads need some attention as there are many potholes to maneuver around. Make sure to check out the Tillamook Creamery and Blue Heron Cheese Company! Also, go north to Rockaway and walk on the Big Tree Boardwalk Trail!

Stayed Sept 14-15. Disappointed with the RV full hook up option and completely agree with a previous review " full hookup RV sites are slammed in like sardines with no shade, no privacy, and a real trailer park vibe". If you are in an RV and want to avoid this, do not stay in the RV full hook up sites. #53 is bordered by a partial fence, across from the bathrooms and the playground. Lots of activity here. Nice if you have younger kids. It would be a good CG if you have younger kids.
Not likely to stay again unless just passing through and needing amenities. We needed good connectivity for work this trip and were exploring different options along our route.
Dry camp sites would be more appealing especially with van or tent. It looked like most were a good size, offering privacy between. We booked 2 nights, stayed one and moved on to find more of a camping vibe
Beach access is great
Verizon worked great 5G
Starlink worked great for us
Check in staff friendly

——REASONS I STAYED HERE——
Needed a campground near Tillamook Creamery and Cape Meares Lighthouse. Also needed cell signal for working.

→ This campground is HUGE. There’s a campsite style and location for every type of camper here.
→ You can walk to the beach.
→ The sites are super clean.

The full hookup RV sites are slammed in like sardines with no shade, no privacy, and a real trailer park vibe. The non-hookup sites range from huge sites with lots of privacy and shade all the way down to small sites bunched up together. The more tightly packed areas attract the rowdy weekend party crowd. Some sites are all sand, which can make a huge mess.
The beach is spectacular, there is a great play area for kids, bathrooms are decent - clean and well stocked but old and worn. Lots of porta-potties and dumpsters around. The dump site has two lanes but is an odd side-by-side double dump, so be real careful not to make a mess with the other user standing shoulder to shoulder with you!
Finally, there is a loud fog horn at the end of the jetty that blares every 13 seconds in the fog season. It can make relaxation and sleep challenging. Cell voice service was ok but data was unreliable.

Sadly I was charged $39 for a spot which included $11 “reservation” fee. I questioned that charge since I did not make a reservation but was told it was added to all sites whether reserved in advance or walk up.
Bathroom was clean; additional fee for the showers.

We said the next time we were going to get a pull through site or a tent site with no hookups, but we couldnt find a pull through site available. So we were packed in like sardines until the weekend was over and we were by our shelfs mostly. Nothing had changed here, bath rooms ok and maintained. Showers were very very hot and little time for the money you have to spend. Beach was nice and easy access to it as always. Two thirds of the tent areas were closed already but two of the camp hosts in the tent areas were still there. Being there in the first week in October it was mostly foggy every day and the valley was 80* most days. We took a drive to Fred Meyers in Tillamook about 20 minutes away and it was sunny and no fog. Gas in Florence was $4.79 a gallon for regular. We camped at Barview Jetty Park in a Travel Trailer.

We backed our truck camper in and had just enough space but had full hookups. Spot 71 had a light on a pole that came on at night that blocked our view of the stars and was like daylight at night time. We walked to the ocean and the jetty very nice and easy walk. They had a hill about 500' from the ocean that had several benches to sit on and enjoy the view of the ocean. This campground has 365 sites but because of COVID about 290 were closed. The showers and the play area was closed due to COVID. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The campground was very clean and well cared for. The place was very quiet except for the ocean noise.
