Only complaint is the paved roads are extremely bumpy, to the point of instability!

There were several sites open when we arrived on a Monday. We opted for a weekly rate.
There are a few spots that have a view of the ocean off in the distance. Many pull trough sites with full hook ups as well as others that are not full hookups. Office staff are helpful and friendly. First come first served.

We tow a 22’ TT and had several w/e sites to choose from. You check in at the office. They give you a map and then you drive around to find a site you like. We went with K26. It was fairly level front to back but left to write required us to be all the way up on our Andersen blocks.
We originally had booked in for 4 nights at $44 a night. Cash only. They have an ATM.
Laundry is clean. $1 wash $1 dry. Cold water k my for wash. 8 washer and 10 dryers. Quite busy. 8a-8p
We were enjoying the area so much we decided to make it an entire week. This got us the stay 7 nights pay for 6.
Shower house near the pool was clean and well cared for. $0.25 for 5 minutes. Lots of hot water. Some portable toilets and other bath houses throughout the campground.
Bus stop for the Island explorer is on site.
Pool was quite large. It is heated but we not quite enough for some of the cooler days we experienced.
They allow you to receive packages.
We got 6-8 channels with our OTA.
WiFi at our site was quite strong. Allowed us to stream shows.
Says two weeks max but looked like several folks spend a month or the season.
Lots of folks changing sites and reserving for friends coming.
Site K26 could easily have accommodated a longer rig. Likely up to 30’.
Friendly staff.

This is peak season in Maine! We felt lucky. V friendly staff who gave us their spot they were’t using. We needed hookups and good service for work..If you can, the view sites are incredible. By nighttime everything was full. Walked across the street for lobster rolls and ice cream (so good, and $$$) we opted to drive in early to Acadia so we didn’t use the shuttle but many did. Such a large campground with a great feel and fair price. The crazy Koa water park stuff is not for me but those are your other options close by. Love bar harbor

The best part about the campground is the free shuttle that takes you to Bar Harbor and throughout Acadia NP. Download the app “myStop” for bus routes/schedule times or google search the Island Explorer bus for details on their website.
We stayed in M loop which is very woodsy and spacious. Cell signal there was decent, 2 bars with Verizon and we could stream the football game. Loops A-H are not in the woods and therefore less private next to your neighbor. Loops L-O were woodsy and very spacious. When you arrive, you’ll first go into the office where they will give you a map. Then you will drive around the campground and pick your favorite spot before heading back to the office to claim it. Full HU is $48, W/E is $44 and dry is $38 a night. Cash only, but there is an ATM in their office. Showers are $0.25 for 5 minutes which is very reasonable compared to other places I’ve stayed who wanted $1 for 3 minutes.
With all the great things to do here (arcade, pool, playground, basketball court, free shuttle stop, mini golf across the street, etc.) the price is well worth it and I highly recommend you stay!

Generators are not allowed. I had a dry site, first in the woods then in the open area. If you stay for a week, the 7th day is free. There are places with a beautiful view of the sea and islands. The rest rooms are old but clean. There are also numerous porta-pottys conveniently placed. Each restroom has a dishwashing sink. A free shuttle bus that allows dogs stops at the entrance. Bar Harbor is a short hop away on the bus. Other buses go to various points in Acadia National Park. I loved staying here.

The grounds are huge, sites well spaced, facilities reasonable and clean, a nice pool and super kids play ground.
The best part is No reservations, all done on a first come first served basis. And add to that, No generators and No fireworks.
The only thing they need to make it perfect is No campfires!!

I normally avoid private campgrounds, but I wanted to visit Mount Desert Island and the national parks were jampacked, so after looking at my options I settled in here. It’s a first come first serve campground, but I arrived around 10 am on a Tuesday and had no trouble getting an electric/water site. They have lots of amenities, which I didn’t use because I was too busy shuttling around the island seeing the sights, but friends of mine stayed near the pool and loved that area. There is a convenient shuttle that you can grab to the visitor center at Acadia National Park and from there grab shuttles to anywhere in the park, including the village of Bar Harbor. It was so convenient. The campground is super clean, well-maintained and quiet. The wifi was decent in my location. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Mount Desert Island.
