Stayed here 4 nights as part of a larger teardrop group event. D loop had great tree cover, reasonably spaced out sites and very good bathrooms. While our site (D30) was fine, we would have changed to take a different site due to a late cancellation by one of our group. There was no one manning the entry shack most of the time we were there, and it was apparently a very convoluted online process to modify once there. With ATT we had text and talk, but little to no other service. I don’t downgrade campgrounds due to cell service, especially ones in remote areas such as this. Camp hosts were friendly and grounds and bathrooms well maintained. The water hookups were quite odd, with some type of pressure relief valve you have to pull down for the handle to stay down. Ours intermittently popped up and we lost water, so I, like several others, either bungeed or zip tied the handle down. Campground was very quiet and quite dark at night. Bear boxes are at each site and ensuring your food and trash are adequately secured is posted in multiple locations. Put away your shoes as well, as a trash panda fell in love with one of my ASICS and pirated it away to destinations unknown in the middle of the night. More than ample outdoor activities to include hiking, biking, kayaking and horseback riding. The BSF is simply wonderful and Bandy Creek is a great place to base your stay. Bring what you need, as resupply is a haul in either direction. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was very clean and the showers had plenty of hot water. We didn’t use the pool open on the weekends but heard it was great. There is a camp store supposedly open on weekends but it was closed on the weekend we were there. Apparently, it’s hit or miss if anyone comes to open it. There is a visitor center and while we got brochures with various hikes, the rangers there seemed a little apathetic and short on information.

If I hadn't had a reservation elsewhere I would have stayed longer.

Did not see any pull throughs. No sewage hook ups.
Good sites. We’ll maintained. Clean restrooms.
Large RVs may have trouble driving in from Oneida due to hairpin curves.

Big South Fork is a national river on the TN / KY border located in Oneida, TN. We have visited this area before when we went to the Station camp
horse camp. We had a great time there and my daughter loved all the horses. There are also a lot of people with horses that go to Bandy Creek. The horses however,
are not allowed in the campground. They have stable services that a lot of people use. I was actually pretty impressed. The signs on the camp store which is located
at the stables actually states that the boarding fees for the stables is $15 per horse per night or $10 to board out in the open.
Amenities:
There is a very nice pool area. I think the pool was supposed to be opening this weekend, but it has been 51 degrees so I think they are waiting for now.
There is a pavillion by the pool as well as a volleyball court and a large playground. There are multiple hiking trails in the area. I haven't been on
a lot of the trails but we did explore the Angel Falls trail here in the past. We did check out the Twin Arches.
There are 5 loops in the campground. These are labeled A through F. D would probably be considered the main loop. B, C, and D all have a mix of decent wooded sites. A
lot of the sites are short and unlevel, but we were able to find quite a few that are pretty great. Loops A and E are all dry camping sites that are pretty short and I believe mainly
designed to tent camp, however, there were a few popups and an airstream down there right now. A lot of the sites that are on the side loops are very short.

We stayed here and were able to ride colliers ridge, grand gap and John Muir. Our site / facilities were clean. Camp store had a good selection. We use a Rtt so appreciated the paved drive in. It’s a little odd the beaten path but a beautiful setting.

This is a review of Brandy Creek campground located at the Big South Fork National River and Recreational area near the border of Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. Not Brandy Creek located in California. The campground is remote, quiet, clean, private and somewhat big rig friendly. We camped in a 36-foot 5th wheel during the weekend of the spring planning Festival. Even during this busy part of the camping season there were empty campsites. There only a few 50-amp service campsites and only one of four areas that has electricity. The washrooms are clean - showers has lots a hot water. The water is obviously softened because it takes a long time to wash off the soap. Big South Fork is one of the top destinations for the horse trails in the Southeast. More than half the trailers in the electrical area were long horse trailers. The horse stables are about a mile from the campground. There are no first come first serve sites you need to make a reservation. Big South Fork is one of the better dark-skies areas in the southeast. It is also a top destination for Whitewater canoes. Big South Fork is one of the very few parks in the National Park system which allow dogs complete free access to all the trails and even the buildings as long as they are on a leash.

The campground is well maintained with adequate facilities. Clean bathrooms and infrastructure for hikers, horses and bikers. Quality of sites differs greatly and I would suggest to look at the D loop sites (34-39, 49) which give you a great ‘ right in the forest ‘ feeling. I will be back for sure.
