“Walk-in Tent Camping along an Ultra Scenic River”

We found free dispersed camping along the Baker River with an Interagency or Northwest Forest Pass. The Baker River Trailhead offers free dispersed camping on the Baker River within the Baker National Forest in Washington State. The Baker River adjacent to the trailhead boasts numerous free dispersed walk-in tent campsites with spectacular views, some with picnic tables and fire rings. There is a serviceable vault toilet at the trailhead along with several trash receptacles. Trailhead parking is level and large enough to accommodate any size vehicle. My overall rating reflects the total lack of cellular service at this location and the fact that this is primarily walk-in tent camping.
