Sept 2022: Beautiful area offering no hook ups as it’s dispersed camping. Designated camping spots mandated by the parks service. Very busy on the weekend with almost constant off road vehicles from morning until past dark. Would check out again, Labor Day weekend might have been the cause of all the noise.

Great stay. 31 was a decent road with some washboards but that doesn’t hurt anything. I could drive 25-30 mph on it. Tons and tons of sites. Came here over July 4 and still a lot of sites. There is a decent amount of ohv usage in this area. It wasn't too much of an issue as most people are just putting around exploring the area. We maybe had 3 to 5 side by sides go by on a daily basis.
The unfortunate side was on our 2nd to last day we had a family show up and camp near us. They had 3 young kids all with dirt bikes which proceeded to turn this normally quiet area into their personal motocross track. They were constantly zipping up and down our turn off at top speed and wide open throttle. So I guess it is just the luck of the draw here.

I’d stay here again in a pinch but nothing for more than just a couple days and definitely not on the weekend. The cell signal is very strange… I have AT&T and sometimes I have three or four bars and sometimes I have one. I’ve never seen my signal fluctuate so much in the six months I have been full-time now. That would be the other reason I won’t be staying very long.

It does have trails for off-road vehicles so if that’s not your thing or you want peace and quiet this may not be the place for you although it’s definitely quieter during the week or even non-holiday weekends. There are designated campsites, it’s not a free for all, or it’s not supposed to be. Cell service is spotty at best. We’ve had all 3 major carriers while camping in this area and they work ok in some areas as long as it’s not crowded but if it’s busy I assume the towers get over saturated as we usually lose service completely during our stays. It’s a little bumpy getting in and if there’s been bad weather it will be muddy and sometimes there are dips in the road that can pose problems. We almost got stuck one year.

There are so many sites within a mile of the highway. We went on Sunday afternoon and had our pick of the sites. The road in is a little bumpy but not terrible.

I camped here in a pinch. It was nice and somewhat clean. It is a place for ATV’s so if you a quiet spot this isn’t for you. I’d probably camp here again.

We rolled in on the washboard yada yada yada...
Not many people around, great cell service so nice and dark at night. Great price too. It just hits all the buttons so it’s hard to not give it 5 stars.
No water for kayaking is the only ding.

It was alittle dry and dusty while we were there however there is plenty of shady camp sites. More suited for OHV enthusiasts. There are plenty of off beaten trails that are marked for them. Although our 4 wheel drive allowed us to explore the whole area with ease.
No rest rooms no water
Lots of wildlife beware of large crows if traveling with small dogs and chipmunks love to forage for food so pick up around site or you will have visitors. The hummingbirds nest near by our site and that was pretty cool to see as well. Some riders aren’t very respectful as they were riding up into our site well past dark
