I looked over this site and chose to stay at Blueberry Patch across the street. There were many nice sites around the backbone horse camp and some were labeled as reserved for horse camping. Each site had a picnic table, fire ring, and hitching post for horses. As of august 2023 there was a $15 fee to stay payable at a self-registration station.

We ended up at the Backbone Horse Camp because we couldn't fit our 23 ft travel trailer into a spot at Blueberry patch Campground just up the street. Doesn't mean you won't be able to fit in a few of the spots, there were TTs at Blueberry, we're just a bit new at the TT backing up thing.
Backbone Horse Camp was just what we needed for a couple of days. Large and grassy spots and easy access (30 minutes to Ithaca, NY) to supplies and laundromats.
As the name implies, this is a "Horse Camp" , so there is horse manure around and some spots are only for those who are camping with horses.
The sites were generally grassy and open, with fire rings and hitching posts.
