“Grid Listed in site inaccessible due to construction”

As another reviewer mentioned, the grid coordinates listed in the original post are inaccessible due to construction through NOV2019, per the signs posted.

Reading from the website listed, "This 5,900-acre lake is nestled in scenic southeastern Oklahoma and offers 59 miles of shoreline. Facilities include boat ramps, a picnic area and playground. A small camping area is also available with primitive campsites for both tents and RVs. No water or electric hookups are available, but generators are welcome."

We found the boat ramp, picnic area, and playground as described and down the hill from the playground/picnic area were two fire rings and plenty of room to camp. We took a chance on interpreting the website that this was the camping area (34.452307, -96.076424).

The views of the lake were nice. There was some trash from sloppy users prior, especially in the fire rings. Several joy riders drove down the boat ramp in the middle of the night, saw the camper, and sped away. Finally, there was significant highway and railroad noise.

“OK Overnight if driving through Oklahoma to Texas”

If you're looking for a quick FREE overnight, it's an okay place. Follow a GPS map to the coordinates and When you get to the "junction" there are two dirt roads you can take. One to the left goes directly to the lake. The road to the right will take you down to the lake as well, but it is a bit further down. It is a loop. We camped in the clearing/field on your right when going down the right hand road.

It is convenient to the freeway (Highway 69) and some gas stations. No one else was around in the middle of October. You can hear the freeway and some trains.

One important thing: It is about 9 miles from a prison.
