Clean, well kept State Park. Bathhouse was very clean and to to date. Not very pet friendly though! No dogs on the beach. Great walks looking for sea shells. Water and electric only with a nearby dump station.

Very small loop, packed in with about 30 sites. Also a small tent camping area. Well maintained and clean. We love shark teeth collecting at Fort Clinch and have stayed at both campgrounds. The beach campground is way easier to navigate. Cost was about $33 per nite plus $7 reservation fee.

The park was easy to find. It is located about 3 miles from Atlantic Avenue (SR 200) down Fort Clinch Road. There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are in good condition but watch for low branch warnings. You may need to move into the oncoming lane to clear one or two but it is very Big Rig doable..
Our site, 11, was a hard packed sand, back in, that was just long enough for our Coach with our Towed beside. Services (30 amp, and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Some sites have a bit of a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well groomed. Our site was raked and cleaned before our arrival.
There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did find a number of OTA channels. Satellite will not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean and modern. Showers are free and plenty of hooks to hang your stuff.
There are trails in the park as well as historic Fort Clinch. Access to the beach via a board walk. There needs to be a marker on the beach to indicate where the boardwalk begins.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. Historic Old Fernandina Beach is definitely worth a walk about. Florida’s oldest pub his there. We found this park to be a great place to rest and relax as well as a base for the local attractions.. We paid $35.00 (plus $2.63) tax per night and we feel we received very good value. We would be back if in the area again.

I had TV reception by no internet.

This review is for Fort Clinch State Park and its two camping loops. For some reason, Campendium decided to slip the park based on site, unlike other parks with multiple camping areas. After reaching out to them, Campendium said it would not change it, which is a shame since (a) you cannot find Fort Clinch on its app and (b) the reviews a to each site apply to the entire park.
Anyway, we stayed at both camping loops. The river sites are very private, shaded, with significant vegetation and space between sites. The downside is bugs, bugs everywhere. Flying, biting, crawling on you and camping equipment. The sites at the beach have no shade, and right on top of each other, have no vegetation in between, but have a constant breeze that keeps bugs away. While you cannot see the ocean, you can hear it and see the dunes. The campsite also has direct beach access, which is pretty cool and gives the very small campground almost a private beach.
Sites on both loops are on sand except for the ADA sites. The bathhouses are nice and spacious, with lots of hooks, but since they are open and close to the ocean, there’s a lot of sediment on the showerheads, so forget about a solid hair wash. Also, the fresh water at both sites (going into your trailer or in the bathhouses) have a mash-brackish smell to it. Cell signal was weak at 1 LTE bar but our weboost took it up to three 5G bars so we were able to work and stream without a problem.
The park itself is spectacular. We saw gators, snakes, opossums, armadillos, turtles, tons of different birds, rabbits, deer, dolphins, and many others. A ranger also told us they have bears. The main road inside the park is a Spanish moss tress canopy that feels otherworldly. The park also has great mountain bike baths that are relatively easy but beautiful. Outside the park, there’s a flat path/greenway called Egan’s Creek Greenway that is a must.

Another wonderful Florida State Park. Beach campground is about 3 miles down a spanish moss canopied tree lined road. Road is in good condition but there are some limbs coming from your passenger side. Drive towards the middle of the road if you can. Beach campground is just over the dunes from the ocean, there is nothing to break the wind so be prepared. Had 2 days of 20 mph winds while we were there.
Bathrooms were clean and serviceable. There was one washer and dryer. 30 amp electric and water worked fine. Sites are pea gravel, host rakes and cleans up in between visitors. Campground is mostly booked up 11 months out. Visited the River campground, nicely spaced sites with thick woods in between sites, completely shaded.
Location is close to restaurants and grocery stores in Fernandia Beach. There is a 6 mile long bike and hiking trail that parallels the road.
AT&T cell service was spotty, sometimes good sometimes not. Usually between 2-3 bars. RSRP boosted from -105 to -70. Streamed Hulu and Netflix most nights, one night I didnt have enough signal.
Many HDTV channels, got NBC, CBS and FOX plus several local channels.,

In this video, I give you a walking tour of the historic fort, the River Campground, and the Atlantic Beach Campground. I show you the best campsites in each campground. In addition, we visit the Atlantic Beach day use area. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 14.3 Mbps download speed and 4.97 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 0.28 Mbps download speed and 0.40 Mbps upload speed. A speed test for T-Mobile failed due to poor cellular service, but I was able to make phone calls using voice only service.

Verizon signal was usable but not very steady at 2 bars LTE. We were told they recently put in an additional tower nearby so I guess it's better than it was before.
We didn't get a chance to visit the fort during on short three night stay, so I can't comment on that. The bathrooms were immaculate and showers were hot with plenty of pressure.
We visited this campground from 01/28/19 until 01/31/19.
