Site #202 had a good view of the lake, but no lake access due to the marshy shoreline. Site #205 is the only site with lake access. Lots of wildflowers and wildlife, with a symphony of cranes (birds, not equipment). No boat ramps on this side of the lake. As mentioned in another review, sites 201, 202, 204, and 205 have no shade. As mentioned in another review, sites 201, 202, 204, and 205 have no shade. We were fortunate that site #203 was unoccupied, so we hung out there for a while.
The 209-227 loop has lots of dense vegetation and many of the sites are quite private.
AT&T varied from No Service to 2 bars. We got some internet service with our Airstream Connected system when AT&T (which Connected uses) had 2 bars. Verizon varied from No Service to 2 bars.
The dirt road to the campground was a little rough.

Campground site 209 is good if you want to feel separated from others. Only have neighbors on one side. That said, you'll have better views of the reservoir if you get site 201, 202, 204, or 205. Great shore fishing is only a few minutes drive away. Just be careful driving your vehicle close to the shoreline -- walk the area you plan to go to first. Saw someone get stuck while we were there because they drove into a really muddy area.
Lots of wildlife around, and super peaceful area. No cell service however.
Dump station is located by the visitor center and is included in your campground fee.

If you don't mind being without services, then site 205 in the Aspen Grove loop is a great bet. The sites in this loop are more private, and our site looked directly out on the lake with a trail down to the water. The downside to having the best site is that it was also the best fishing site and for most of each day there was someone fishing at end of the trail. It was far enough away from our trailer, though -- about 200 feet away -- that it wasn't really bothersome. Since most of the sites on the Aspen Grove loop don't have services, many ran generators, which was noisy. The good news was that with our trailer blocking us from the rest of the loop, the noise was muffled and we didn't see any other campers (unless they were fishing on "our" point).
The lake is beautiful, and we enjoyed sailing our boat there. There is a walking trail that goes most of the way around the lake, and there are a number of geocaches in the park. The road is good for biking, though pretty dusty when a car goes by. In late May it was very cold at night, so we were glad for the furnace. I don't think there are any showers and I didn't use the bathroom. My husband says the men's room was clean. This loop allows dogs, so our three had a lot of company! When we drove around the lake to geocache, we saw the other campgrounds. Without question, if you want more of a get away from it all experience, Aspen Grove is the best loop. If we come again, we will try for the same site.
