Shower and restroom facilities were clean and conveniently spaced. There was a very nice swimming pool, a playground and putt-putt. They had a variety of activities from a cigar van to live music on the weekend. Site 403 was a pull thru with full hookups and was large enough for two vehicles plus camper. Interior roads and campsites were gravel. Verizon cell service fluctuated been two and three bars, but hotspot worked fine. The cost per night is pricey, but the convenient location made it worth the price.

We stayed here for 8 nights. If you approach the campground from the south, the first entrance you see is a parking lot you can enter with a simple veer to the right: take that entrance if you have a larger rig, as it leads into a much wider right turn into the park than the one at the main entrance.
The campground is divided into two sections by a fenced horse pasture. The front section by the office is the larger of the two, with shaded pull-through sites under tall trees on the north side and open sky pull-through and back-in sites mixed in with the human and equine campground amenities. The back section is accessed via a narrow gravel road and has additional pull-through and back-in sites, all but three of them will full-hookups, as well as tent camping areas. All of the sites have gravel pads with picnic tables and fire rings (some metal, some stone) and most have grass lawns: some of the smaller sites under the trees have gravel lawns.
We stayed in site 422, one of the end sites in the loop in the back section of the campground. Our site was level side-to-side, but the front end had to be lowered so much we couldn't fit our stabilizing tripod underneath it. Otherwise, we had no issues with the site, and our loop of the campground was pretty much empty for most of the week. Even the horses grazing in the fenced pasture area bordering our loop on the north and east sides disappeared after the first weekend. Dog owners should be aware that there is an electrified wire running just above the bottom wooden rail of the fence, so don't let your dogs stick their heads in there where they could get an uncomfortable shock. The dog park, a repurposed circular horse corral, is a long stroll away in the front section, but there are plenty of grassy areas and poop stations in the back section.
The office building contains a store with convenience and RV items, an ATM, and a small arcade room in the back with an air hockey table and skee-ball lane. A set of bathrooms and showers are attached to the building, and the propane refill station (which I don't think they advertise) is right nearby. Across the street from the office is a playground area with swings, and further south of that is the catch-and-release fishing pond with a small gazebo and some benches to sit on. The pool, located in the center of the front section, is C-shaped, with a splash pad in the middle of the C. Next to the pool is a large beautiful pavilion area with a stone fireplace and plenty of seating. The mini-golf course is on the other side of the pavilion and is free to play: the equipment is available at all hours. Also located in this area is the laundry room, another set of bathrooms, and a series of horse stalls for equine guests. There is a horse trail (which is also hikeable and bikeable) that starts at the front of the campground, crosses the road, and leads into Gettysburg National Military Park. The largest memorial in the park, the Pennsylvania State Memorial, is less than a mile away.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during the week, when the campground was fairly empty, was 20 Mbps down and 20 up. As the campground filled, the bandwidth became congested enough during the evening hours that it became nearly unusable. But the bandwidth on my 5G AT&T smartphone remained reliable throughout the week, with the best speed I measured being 59 Mbps down and 6 up.
The only complaint I have about the campground are the narrow roads, particularly the one between the front and back sections. It didn't prove to be a problem for us, but two large RVs trying to pass each other on certain stretches of that road could be challenging.
We would stay here again if we were in the area.

The location of this campground was great. Just steps away from the battlefields. It had some very cool cabins that took us a bit to realize they were cabins, since they looked like an old western town - jail, school, etc. The pool was brand spanking new. They took the plastic off the lounges the day we got there. There was a great coffee and ice cream truck there our entire 3 night stay.
We were there Memorial Day weekend for a wedding in Gettysburg and the place was packed - but everyone was very respectful and we didn't hear much noise at all well before even quiet time.
We had a site in the far back park of the campground. It was a bit of a trek to get there and with only a single lane there, it seemed to take forever with all of the people coming and going (trucks, golf carts, walking, bikes, etc). The sites were VERY tight, especially in the front of the park, only a little better in the back. Our biggest issue was that there wasn't a path to the bathrooms. There were a lot of people in tents and most of them walked through our site or our neighbors to get to the bathrooms. Honestly, I don't blame them and they were all very polite and luckily we weren't there to hang out much, but they scared me (accidentally) when they were walking through at night.

It was in bad need of mowing and our site needs more gravel lots of red mud
Upside is we were only 1 mile away from the visitors center for the park and all downtown attractions are super close
There also give discounts for veterans which is very appreciative

Easy to get to, roads seem narrow once inside, we have a 20ft so we didn’t have any issues but we could see where larger rigs could. It rained a lot during our stay, our site drained well but we could see others that didn’t. Our site by chance was one of the nicer ones, had a few trees for shade, most sites are bare. Only real complaint is the sites seem to be very close to each other. Our neighbors fire ring was about 5ft from our window, thankfully no one was there to use it. The staff was friendly and the bathhouse was very clean. Also each site has a picnic table and fire ring. It’s also a horse park, not many out at the moment but assume that’s a nice perk for some who like to watch horses.

I will not in the future nor would I ever recommend staying at Artillery Ridge Campgrounds. After the interaction I had with the owner over them taking money for a service then deciding not to provide that service or an alternative for that service, refusing to reimburse me for that cost and telling me that it’s my problem to have to adsorb additional costs. It’s bad business and stealing money. Now I know why others told me to watch out for them. I should have heeded that warning. If you have friends that are looking for a campground do not recommend this place.

I called them to inquire about Passport America and Good Sam's rates, and they no longer accept these discounts.

If you're using your GPS to navigate here and it tells you to exit onto Baltimore Pike, DON'T do it! Granite Schoolhouse Lane is very narrow. Take the Tanneytown Road (rt 134) exit instead.
