This campground is very peaceful and well maintained. We camped on a Thursday for one night in August. We were in site 13 with 30amp service. It was a back in site with plenty of room for our 25 foot trailer and tow vehicle . We were able to get level in our site by the way we positioned our camper. There were a few pull though sites in our loop that might be a little difficult to get out of based on the angle of the drive. We were traveling on I-70 heading east, so our route to the campground took us through Blackwater. The roads leading to the campground were fairly well maintained, maybe a bit narrow after driving on the interstate. The Arrow Rock Historic site is very interesting, we enjoyed walking over after traveling all day. The visitor center at the Historic site is very well done. There is a dump station and a shower house.

Arrow Rock is a neat little historic village, worth exploring, and part of it is incorporated into the state park boundaries. You could walk there, but there's a hill so driving might be better. The streets are narrow and parking might be an issue for anything larger than a Class B camper.
Dump station at entry.

Very well kept with nice showers and restrooms. Our T mobile signal was 1-2 bars (not very good) and the camp Wifi was okay if your site was near the front of the Electric sites. Only ONE electric site has water and sewer. So basically you will need to use dump station (nice and clean setup) and fill tank with one of several potable water stations around the loops. OAA brought in several local stations.
Would come here again.

There is easy access from the campground to walking trails and to the historic village of Arrow Rock. The museum and visitor center are really well done. Most sites are relatively level...one of ours may've been the worst, but we were able to make it work.
There are places in the park without AT&T cell signal. The campground wifi generally worked well and is a real plus.

Arrived at 4:30 pm and camp host was waiting in a golf cart to escort us to our site and make sure we were completely happy with it. Quick setup and then to bathhouse to shower up, NO bugs, trash, etc. We were on the Pond Loop with 2 other travel trailers. Maybe 5 other travel trailers in the other loop. Will definitely stay here again in spring as we pass back through on another planned trip.

The town has a Lyceum theater that puts on some first-rate productions with actors from all over the USA. Check out the schedule for the Lyceum at https://lyceumtheatre.org/. There are also many small shops and eating locations in the small town. Being a historic site you will want to spend some time exploring the town. Next to the Missouri River, where the Sante Fe Trail crossed. Use this link to see what is happening in the town https://arrowrock.org/.
We live fairly close to the campground and usually camp there once or twice a year when we want to get away from the city life.

Arrow Rock has beautiful, widely spaced sites.
I could not make online and phone reservations as all of the sites appear blocked during the off season. So, this was a first-come, first-served experience. We arrived on a Thursday night and there were only two other campers in the entire park. We found a site easily, filled out the information on the pay envelope, included a check, and dropped it into the iron ranger. Easy.
The sites had electric, but all of the water was turned off so hydrants around the park and the shower-house were not available. A vault toilet near the host site was open. Firewood was not available for sale.
The weather was perfect, clear, gentle winds, highs in the 60s and lows in the mid 30s. This trip was near the peak of the leaf color change and the park was especially beautiful. Other campers arrived over the weekend, but we didn't see more than 8 or 9 other campers during the stay.
Connectivity - we work from the road so connectivity is important to us. On our first trip to Arrow Rock earlier this year, we relied on a Verizon 4g JetPack for our primary connection and our cell phones as back up hotspots. This park is right at the edge of cell service for two towers and connectivity was so poor, it was virtually non-existent and our trip ended early. This time, we arrived with a Cradlepoint IBR900 and an unlimited, unthrottled ATT 4g plan through Bix Wireless. Connectivity was rock solid so we were able to access work networks, make and receive calls through Skype and Teams, and chat with no issues.
The Verizon JetPack we use for back up had no connectivity on this trip. Our Cradlepoint had 4 bars. Our ATT cellphones had zero to 1 bar.
Arrow Rock is our favorite get-a-way and now that we have the Cradlepoint, we will visit more often.
