“Best RV Park I've stayed at”

Reviewed 9/23/2022

Overall Rating

My family has been traveling for my husband's job for about 3.5 years now so we've done extended stays at quite a few RV parks. We've been here for just a little over a month and this has been the best experience we've had at an RV park by far.

Most RV parks are on a busy highway or near an airport. That's not the case with Around the Bend RV park. It's off a (well maintained) little country road away from the main road (which isn't all that busy anyway) so it's VERY quiet and peaceful. We always see fireflies and have spotted some deer and rabbits a few times too. It's surrounded by trees so it has a secluded feel; something else you don't get with most RV parks.

Another thing I like is that it's a small park. Right now, there are only 5 sites. They're spaced out nice and wide so you have some distance from the people next to you. Everyone here is nice and quiet. Very family friendly. No loud music or partying. Everyone seems to be respectful of other's space.

The owner, Donna lives on the property which is a huge plus in my opinion. She's a nice lady; enjoyable to converse with. You can really tell she takes pride in her business. The park just opened this summer (2022) and she's working continually to keep things maintained and add amenities. The grass is kept up, the land scaping is nice. There's good wifi. It checks all my boxes.

One major plus in my book is the water. It's on Seligman city water (ranked 3rd cleanest in the nation). Several parks we've been to were required by law to post their failed water test results on site. One of my kids had actually gotten sick from the water at a different RV park we had been to. It's one of those things you don't think about until it's an issue. So the clean water is huge.

There's a grocery store just 1/4 mile down the road, a laundry mat 1 mile a way and a nice city park a mile away as well. It's a short drive to NWA. It's not too far from Raging River. There are a lot of antique shops and flea markets near by too. There's also a gourmet candy shop close by that I've been meaning to check out that's just down the road.

Duke and Bailey (the park pups) are fun to have around. They mostly stay near their house, but you see them every now and then. They're well behaved; never been aggressive towards me or my kids. No jumping up on you or incessant barking. They're sweet. I'll miss them when it's time for us to move on.

Anyway, I highly recommend this park for it's unique set of attributes, good people, sweet dogs, beautiful country setting and close proximity to endless amenities and attractions.

“Free Roaming Dogs At This RV Park”

Reviewed 9/9/2022

Nightly rate: $24
Site Number: 2
RV Length: 40' (Fifth Wheel)
Overall Rating

Posted rate includes weekly rate, first visit special, and taxes. New park with only five sites. Four of the sites appear to be either permanent or at least long term residents. Very serene, with ozark trees all around. Little HWY noise, some dog barking. Very wide sites, FHU, new grass and gravel. No amenities. Location is a 1/4 mile off the main road, on a single lane dirt road. Owner allows her 2 large dogs, and some of the residents dogs to free roam. Dog poop on our site, every thing peed on daily.
