Do the sites get soggy/water logging when it rains? I am planning to visit with a truck camper/Tent.

Our pull-thru site was relatively level but maybe one of the most recent ones created. Some of the sites further up the hill are more finished. The bathhouse contains laundry and private, individual shower/bathroom that were quite clean.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

We liked that the park is well-maintained with good attention to detail. Gravel was fresh, and the bathhouses were in good shape, nicely decorated, and clean. The camp store is well-stocked and inviting. The location is just minutes outside Bayfield and perfect for visiting Madeline Island and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. But the experience varies considerably by site, especially because the park is cut into a hilly area so elevation changes occur throughout the park.
The nicest section, no surprise, is the newest area (sites 60-95) with pull through sites and newer bath facilities. The park made an effort to get decent side-to-side level on the sites, and the fact that they are terraced up a hill provides some automatic privacy and separation. The only downside here is little vegetation between sites because of the recent construction. The second best area is in the original park loop, sites 1-40, where sites tend to have mature vegetation and good privacy and separation. The only problem here is that the dump station is on the main (one-way) loop close to the loop exit, so if someone is using the dump station you may not be able to get out for a few minutes. The least desirable section is the first annex (sites 42-57). While there is a good amount of vegetation and privacy, the layout of the sites is VERY awkward. Ours would have been impossible to back into if the other sites were occupied; we had to drive through a pull-through site to have any chance to pull in to our site. These sites work best for tent campers, vans, truck toppers, and other very small rigs because the access is so challenging, and the layout of the sites is strange and confusing. Larger rigs should stay in the newest section.
The biggest challenge of the terrain here is side-to-side level, so I was happy we only needed two blocks to get "close enough." Cell service was blazing fast on AT&T.

We enjoyed swimming in the pond. Site had water, electric and sewer hookups. Excellent Verizon cell service and good internet service. Office was really cute and well-stocked with souvenir/camping items. Also has an ice cream parlor inside. Individual shower/bathroom rooms were very clean with great water pressure.
We loved the Bayfield/Apostle Islands area and plan to visit again. Took the Apostle Islands Grand Tour (boat) to see the Sea Caves. Very cool. Had planned to do the Sea Caves kayak tour through Trek and Trail, but it was cancelled due to weather. Took the ferry to Madeline Island instead. Walked around the small town on the island. Lots of fun shopping, good restaurants and lots of ice cream shops in Bayfield. Fun vibe. Will definitely stay here again.

Great access to Bayfield. Some sites have views to Lake Superior.
Some sites have better locations for the picnic table and fire ring. Others, are too cramped (the terrace isn't big enough).
The owners are VERY accessible an helpful as they work out the kinks for the new sites. We'd go back!

Nice place, spots are kind of short/small. I saw some big trailers going into spots they could barely fit. Hookups are weird and all the way in the back.

This is a REALLY NICE park just outside of Bayfield WI ( 1 mile). The owners are on site and have clearly worked hard to make this a fist class park. Location is perfect for visiting Bayfield and the Apostle Islands National Seashore and Madeline Island. Campsites are mostly gravel but are well spaced, have mature landscaping, and offer water and electric hook up. The facilities are among the cleanest we have ever seen. Check in / general store is very cute and even has ice cream! There is a large play area and green space in the middle of the main loop. Highly recommended park and we will definitely return! FYI - the park owners are in the process of expanding, and are adding more RV sites and amenities. We camped at Apostle Islands Area Campground in a Travel Trailer.

They allowed us to put their tent next to our RV site, which was really appreciated. They have a nice, small kids playground and grassy area, which we used daily. The campground was very quiet. Camp wifi was not usable at our site. Mobile service was adequate, but only for basic things. I used a signal booster to do some work.
We would stay again. Nothing special, but it served us well for the week. I'm curious to see what the owners do with the property- they mentioned upgrades were in the works!
