It's no longer FF after Labor Day! I was under this impression as well, but only reserved campsites are available through October 2nd, and go to "primitive Loop B" whatever that means? They do release a handful of sites a few days in advance, but that's a huge risk driving that far without a reservation. St. Marys takes reservations through 9/14, then goes to "primitive" as well. All the other FF are closed by mid September. So, possible, but risky?
