“Amazing, quiet family trip”

This place is simply amazing. Each space is separated with huge pine trees and feels secluded. Each space has a nice fire ring and picnic table (all was spotless when we got here) A walking trail surrounds the park and is perfect for beginners or children. There are two other campgrounds on the way to this one, just keep going until you are at the top.
The website is wrong about the length of RV allowed. We stayed in 37 feet home. Back in. Make sure to think about your slide outs when parking, lol, or you'll be moving spots. However, we were grateful for automatic leveling. If you don't have that it might take a few minutes to find the correct site for you.
It is self-pay, leaving money (cash or check) in an envelope at the front. No hook ups. However free drinking water at the front. There are also clean bathrooms and a friendly park ranger on duty. He was helpful. There was a mama bear and cub when we visited so he was extra careful about checking spaces each evening. The closest trash can is a 1-mile round trip.
The hummingbirds are all around here and will land on you if you have some fruit. They have generator hours off and on so it keeps this place quiet. There are a lot of squirrels and raccoons.
There are a lot of tent campers here as well.
If you park on the outside or your right when you come in, you are right by a walking trail and more likely to encounter wild life. So keep that in mind if you want privacy as people on the trail can look up and see your tent, ext...
