TX allows 24 hour stays at all improved roadside locations like picnic areas and this welcome center. Separate space for RVs (next to trucks but at least not in their lot) with a large number of spots. Bottle filler drinking fountain and restrooms available 24 hours. Security on-site. Nice overnight stay.

We camped here the night of December 4, 2020. It is a very large parking lot which will accommodate several dozen trucks as well as several dozen RVs. Clean, well lite and the noise isn’t that bad... 24 hour bathrooms. No problem with being crowded, there are 3 places for parking - 1 for cars, and then 2 big areas for RVs & big rigs. We would stay again instead of stopping at campground.

The 24-hour bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The lot is well-lit at night, with picnic tables. No hookups but a free overnight stop which was easy in and out. Texas allows 24 hours at any rest area. Some road noise but very little traffic in rest area. It was nearly empty all night with us as the only RV. There's separate parking for cars, RVs, and trucks. FWIW a minimum security federal prison is behind the parking area.

Tons of space for even large RVs, separated from another large area for truck parking. There is a slope, and it's one-way in and out, but this place was relatively quiet and really nice for a quick night on the road. (WAY better than the Walmarts nearby.)
