I hate to pay for dry camping, but this place does make it worth your while, especially considering you have to pay to visit the island whether or not you camp. At Bridger Bay campsite each site has a pavilion on a concrete pad with picnic table, fire pit and grill table, as well as views to the lake. The sites are spaced out for priva... more

Stayed here a couple of nights in an unseasonably warm February. We just live a few miles from here and needed a close weekend getaway. The spots are large and spread apart with nice covered tables and fire rings. I probably wouldn’t want to be here during the warmer months due to insects and lack of shade, but in early spring and fal... more

“Camping on the Great Salt Lake”

Reviewed Nov 13, 2017

Great place to spend the night - or a couple nights! - on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. Hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and photography opportunities abound. Campground is open year round. Camping fee includes entry fee to park. The entrance gate closes at different times throughout the year so be sure to check it - you ... more

We stayed in White Rock Bay campground, not the more common Bridger Bay. It's a smaller campground on the west side of the island. The sites are large double sites or there are some that are individual, but share common parking space with two other campsites. We didn't make reservations online and it seems not everyone working the boot... more

“Amazingly Beautiful but the BUGS!”

Reviewed May 19, 2017

We wanted to see the Great Salt Lake and the animals on Antelope Island so decided we'd stay one night even with the warnings about the bugs in the spring. We were going to have to spend $10 to get on the island regardless so what's another $13 to camp there. Both campgrounds are located on the absolutely gorgeous coastline of the lake... more

Passing through Salt Lake City for a few days, we chose to spend 2 nights at the Bridger Bay Campground. Absolutely a must – one of the most unique and beautiful locations we've camped in. Since we visited in mid April, we had one chilly and rainy night but the rest of the time was warm and perfect. During this time, the bugs barely... more

We stayed here in the middle of November and it was awesome. Verizon service wasn't great even with boosting, ATT didn't work. Disclaimer: I stayed at this park in 2016 prior to the fire which burned half of Antelope Island. This is a wonderful park, about an hour north of Salt Lake City.
