Another amazing Teton Front Range free camping area. Antelope flat sits at the base of shadow mountain, and hosts roughly 15 campsites. The roads leading to the campground, passing Mormon Row on the way in, are paved or decently graded dirt. Once you reach the Antelope Flat camping area, the story changes a bit. Rutting as of June 2019... more

“Didn't work out for me”

Reviewed Jun 12, 2019

The road is terrible. Deeply rutted. It's in a valley amongst trees so many sites have obstructed to no view. It's small and feels claustrophobic. I arrived around 1 PM on a Wednesday and it was full. I ended up at Upper Teton View and I'm so happy I couldn't get a spot at Shadow Mountain.

We arrived late Thursday afternoon on 5/30/19 and stopped at the first grouping of sites 1-10 these were fine but regardless of how we would have angled we wouldn't have gotten views from our living room window which is what we always strive for. There was a ranger near by so I asked how the conditions were going higher up and he sa... more

Free campsite under 20 min from Moose entrance to Grand Teton NP. Designated sites. Amazing view. No toilets, and not much tree shelter to find a hidden place to go in the woods, but other than that it was perfect. Perfect cell service

“Breathtaking Views of the Tetons”

This is a phenomenal Boondocking site with designated, free, camping spots. The views speak for themselves and there are plenty of sites both at the base and scattered higher up the mountain. We stayed here in the middle of October and only had 3 others here at the same time. The sunset and sunrise with the Tetons was unrivaled. The ro... more

We camped in the lower section in site #3 with our 30’ ClassA. The road into the area was well graded with minimal washboard in mid-September. However the roads into the campsite loops had very deep ruts, but passable in the dry weather we had. Sites 1-5 in the first loop were all level with tall grasses between for some nice separatio... more

The view of the Tetons was fabulous! Bison on the range we drove through. I’m not sure we will ever find a site that compares.
