“Bee careful!”

Reviewed Aug 16, 2018

Overall Rating

There seems to be a crazy amount of bees here. There were also 3 bats in the bathroom on my last visit. Didn't see any this time around. Forgot where this place was so didn't write a review the first time I was here. Got turned around and am staying here again. There is a 3 day limit here, but it doesn't seem to be enforced. “Easy access, clear swimming water, bees”

Reviewed Aug 10, 2018

We travel in our 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon, so we try to stay away from bad roads. The access to this camp ground was pretty easy. All gravel, including the spots. Even though the spot under the tree looks tempting, be warned there's hoards of bees and wasps that live in that tree. We spent our first night in that spot, but decided to mo... more

“close to town and right on Banks Lake”

Reviewed Jul 27, 2017

Overall Rating

Stayed here in October 2016. Decent little spot on Banks Lake, just a couple miles outside of Coulee City, WA. Easy access, and room for rigs of most sizes. Have some day use people coming and going throughout the day, but for the most part it was very quiet. Only one other rig overnighted during my stay. Strong VZ 4G Signal made it... more

“For an overnight stay, it was quiet.”

Free after you buy a discover pass. Campground at end of dirt road by boat dock about 1 mile. Plenty of room for all size rigs. Lots of use at boat ramp for smaller size boats. Two rigs came in last night about 10:30. Would stay here again for a few days. Old roads to walk on, boating and birding. Lots of quail. There is even a geocach... more

“Nice, tho not free.....Must purchase a $30 Discover Pass, which is good for a year....or a day pass for $10...”

Reviewed Sep 12, 2015

Overall Rating

I arrived at the campsite to discover a discover pass is required...the year pass is $30 plus fees if one purchases online or at an outlet.... I decided to buy a pass as it will make "free" camping in Washington easier, and I want all the stress reduction I can get... I'll be exploring Washington for several weeks so figure $30 i... more
