Angel's Landing Campground

Great location on Lake Moultrie, most temp sites are on the bank and some have concrete pads. Others have flat gravel. There are full time sites here also, mostly unoccupied 5th wheels all in the inner sites, not on the water. Park is clean and well maintained. They are fixing a few sites with sewer hookup issues. The three private bathroom/shower units in operation had plenty of hot water, good pressure, and were cleaned daily. The camp store is a little sparse on food stuffs, but the restaurant has good meals. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the service techs are second to none. There are three of them, and they take care of the entire park, and they do RV service work. The youngest of them will brighten your day every time you see him. He always has a big smile on his face and is usually dancing to the beat of the music coming through his earbuds.
Service related, I called a week before arriving to get on their schedule to replace a leaking hot water heater. I already had the replacement but couldn't install it myself. The two RV techs showed up our first morning to check on the install. They made a list of what they would need, and showed up the next morning about 10, and by noon we had hot water again. I asked the boss man about replacing my roof AC's and main awning springs. He gave me an est, and a week later I had two new Penquin II HP's installed and our awning works again.
My wife and I, and our puppy Binky, had a great time there. We will definitely stay there again when the road takes us back through South Carolina.

I'm not sure why the reviews of this place were good. The only positive thing was the serving staff at the restaurant. I'm traveling in a van. So why would I pay upwards of 60 per night for a place with no showers and terrible bathrooms. It took me two days to find the large dumpster which is placed in a weird area. The sites are not cleaned up and it's far away from any amenity like a grocery store. It seems they decided to turn a marina into a campground and are not doing a good job maintaining it. When I complained of no hot water and low water pressure the manager kept blaming it on me that I should have reported it earlier. He was so rude and didn't even offer a partial refund. Absolutely horrible place. I'm forced to leave early with no refund.

We are at the tail end of our month long stay and love it! The campground is right on the lake, which provides a wonderful view! Our site was a waterfront site and even has its dock for a boat to tie to!

There's a restaurant on site for breakfast and lunch. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the house made BBQ sauce was the best! They also have on-site RV maintenance if you need any work done. We used it for a couple of small things and they were great!

Overall, we have enjoyed our stay here. The only downside is it's roughly 40 minutes from grocery stores and such so you have to plan your trips accordingly. It's about an hour from Charleston.
