Very nice park with lots of friendly staff. We did not find the few train whistles a day to be an issue at all and the park is far enough off of the road that we heard very little road noise.

All sites have full hookups and the folks that work here are nice. Great big dog park! Definitely noisy with the road and the steam train going by. If you need hookups while you explore Durango and the area, this is a good spot to do so. Couldn't get on the wifi, but Verizon was 22 down/10up.
*Edit: A little annoying that a worker came and knocked on my door at 10 reminding me to leave. Check out is 11. He then drove by 2 more times. If they want people out at 10, they should change the check out time.

We originally had 2 nights booked and ended up adding another 2 nights we were enjoying it so much. We were in a pull through on the left side of the office-site 46. Lots of beautiful trees on this side of the park. We liked how the sites were arranged…yes doors faced each other but picnic tables were at opposite ends of the site so we still had privacy when we wanted but loved visiting with neighbors. Prefer THIS set up over having a picnic table facing someone’s sewer connection. If you prefer backin I thought sites 34-39 were great sites with good trees and shade and a tiny stream runs at the back of those sites (might be seasonal stream). Huge dog park and a separate fenced area if you have a smaller dog that doesn’t socialize. The grounds are beautiful…the grassy areas so well manicured it looked like a golf course! They had workers constantly working on the property. Quiet yet a short drive to town. The train comes nearby so you can hear the toot toot but never late so not intrusive. Very nice and friendly staff CJ, Jim and Carolyn. They also offer breakfast which we took advantage of a couple of times…a REAL breakfast…eggs, bacon, breakfast burritos, egg sandwiches, daily homemade cinnamon rolls and on Sunday pancakes. In the evening they offer pizza and wings which we never had so can’t comment on that. This was by far our favorite stay on our northern NM and southern Colorado trip.

This is a really nice RV park off 550. It’s quiet, no road noise, and sites are clean and level. Large dog park, dog wash was useful, as was the laundry facilities. Short drive to Durango and hiking trails. We didn’t stay long enough to enjoy the pizza, but hear it’s great.

Had everything imaginable. Great dog parks. Playground for kids. Pool. Dog wash. Sites clean and well managed. Very quiet. No concrete pads. Not all level but works, none the less. Definitely would like to stay again.

Cons: our site was pretty small and we felt pretty cramped on it. There was a tree that blocked our usage of the awning. The level from front to back is really off. There isn’t a 20amp plug in the electrical box so maybe have an extension cord if cold nights are expected so you can use your heat tape.

The staff was friendly and even offered dog walking so we could take the train to Silverton. (A must!) The sites are close, but I wasn’t in Durango to hang out at my camper, except when I needed to work. The nights were cool and we had no trouble sleeping with the windows open, it was that quiet! I would definitely stay again and again

The sites are terribly uneven; there’s no cement pads; they are entirely too close— and a guy yelled at me because I coasted through a stop sign at the front. I thought you were only supposed to stop if you were registering, so I slowed down and yielded. This dude couldn’t just tell me to make sure and stop next time; he went on and on about it. Finally, I told him off. I got tired of his mansplaining and his treating me like a child, trying to scold me. We packed up and left. Never again!

I would’ve given a zero if I could their policy is no refunds for cancellations or changes in your reservation. They stole $69 from me because of dental and mechanical issues we were unable to keep our reservation. The reservation cancellation was made with 25 days notice they should’ve returned my deposit terrible terrible policy very consumer unfriendly. All they have succeeded in doing is creating an un- customer I will never use this park.
