Avoid the exposed corner sites around 12 unless tenting it at 13. Still a gorgeous experience with friendly people, crystalline river, lots of foliage and nice amenities. Full electric and water hookups, hot clean showers and nice hiking. Also know that the road is way up a cliff behind the sites, don’t be afraid that pets/ kids can get up there too much. There is some road noise, but very little at night.

Nice little park next to the Chetco river. The redwood trail loop is about .5 mile from the park. Walked along the river to get to it. Nice stay!

We absolutely LOVED this park! Beautiful sites. We stayed in Site 4 and think it was one of the BEST. Also, sites 26 and up have peek-a-boo Chetco River views! The park is EXTREMELY quiet!!! We absolutely LOVED this park! Beautiful sites. We stayed in Site 4 and think it was one of the BEST. Also, sites 26 and up have peek-a-boo Chetco River views! The park is EXTREMELY quiet!!! You can paddle board, kayak, etc , up the Chetco River! There was a rental place on the road in (Loeb Park is 7-8 miles from Brookings). The hosts were kind, wood is $5/bundle, and most sites are good sizes. Some are a bit narrow and small, though. Definitely A sized rig could fit in most sites. The only negative to this park is MOSQUITOES. There are two trails right out of the park: Riverview Trail - which at the end features the northernmost Redwood grove! So cool! That hike is about a mile, the other trail was just over 2 miles. So, good for most! But did I mention mosquitoes??? My gawd there were A LOT of them!!!!! So definitely be prepared with mosquito spray. We didn't have any so couldn't really enjoy our beautiful site! :(

Site 5 backs up to the road, so there is a bit of traffic noise. We definitely had weekend parties happening past quiet hours, and several noisy neighbors throughout our 8 days here... But I suppose you get that everywhere.
The showers were suddenly closed for one day during our stay. The higher-ups demanded closure because the park had used too much water... The local ranger was as surprised as we were. Other than that, the showers are HOT and pretty clean.

The town was about 10 minutes away. The river was clean and great to swim in. The camp site were extremely well kept up. There are free showers available to guests. The cell phone reception for Verizon was enough to occasionally complete a phone call and send texts but no data. It is next to a road that logging trucks travel but we didn't even notice. Might be a factor if you were tent camping. There were also lots of kids. Our trailer is 36ft long and we were able to find a spot although not all of them would fit a trailer that long.

Really enjoyed my stay. Large, mostly private, mostly shaded sites. Walk to the Chetco River through the campground. Flush toilets and free showers. Several places to dump your sink water, which really saves gray water tanks. There's no sewer hook-ups, but water and 20, 30 and 50 amp electric at every site. Well worth a visit.

Checked in on the 4th of with no reservations. Quite a few site available. Good size site with water and electric. The only reason I didn’t give this a 5 is because there is no dump site. There is a free dump a few miles up the road. Showers were very good no charge for them as one review said.
Straight talk works at our site.

The campground has direct river access and a hike to the redwoods. It is open year round. The bathrooms were clean, but were older and showing their age. We had no trouble finding a flat site where our slider could open toward the picnic table.
Showers were available for $2. We also noted they do have an ADA compliant cabin and camp site.

Electric and Water, but no dump station, however, 10 miles away at the Brookings Rest Area just north of town is a free dump station. During the summer there are site open each morning, camp host are active on site. "IF" you can't get in, go up to Miller Bar for the night and come back around 9 am and you will get in. Cool, but ocean fog burns off early, and this is a nice mix of RVs and Tents. Verizon gives solid 1-2 bars.
