“Don’t Stay Here, Terrible, Unsafe ”

The front desk will ask you if you want “internet” or “grass”…choose grass and you’ll be in a little less sketchy section of the park. I didn’t even go for a run here because of the bad feeling it had. Pool isn’t working and from the looks of it won’t be again. Staff is cold and seems more inconvenienced to take our reservation and check in. Save your money and go to another park because the town is indeed adorable and worth seeing.

Very convenient if you're wanting to stay in Boerne. It's right next to IH-10, so it's got lots of road noise. The older area of the park has grassy areas, but all of the new areas are completely covered with rocks. Not my idea of camping. Way too expensive for what you get in my opinion.

Our first site had no power when we first arrived. Maintenance guy was sent over and so he wiggled the receptacles and breakers. Then his meter read that there was power. He hooked us up and it fried our breaker. It didn't just trip the breaker, it melted it, ruined it. Then they told us it was our fault, even though there was clearly something wrong with their utility from the get-go. We moved sites and replaced our own breaker.
Bathrooms are closed except during business hours because "someone had been vandalizing the bathrooms."
Had a couple of very noisy neighbors.
Boerne is a nice town. We just didn't have a good experience at this park.

We stayed here because we needed the FHUs and had some RV work being done in Boerne, otherwise places like this are not our usual choice. It is your typical RV "resort" and those will never get more than a 3-star rating from me even though they have all the amenities: bathrooms/showers (we didn't use), laundry rooms (nice, machines takes credit cards), propane onsite (most useful part of our stay!), cable TV (didn't use), OATV, swimming pool (closed for the season), free wifi, and lots and lots of pull-thru sardine sites (although many here are long-term residents, so call ahead for availability.) Our site required more leveling than I would have expected from a "resort." The park is clean and surprisingly quiet for its location and population.
The park is in the town of Boerne (Bernie), which is convenient for shopping and business. The downtown is cute, with a lovely river walk along the Cibolo. It is also close to several state parks and recreation areas including Guadalupe SP, Old Tunnel SP, Enchanted Rocks SNA, Government Canyon SNA, and the Cibolo Nature Center which is accessed from the town's park. It is convenient to San Antonio, as well.
Dates of our stay: 10/26-28
