Stayed here on a Saturday night in a 34’ Class A towing a Jeep. When I arrived at 6pm the huge level gravel lot was almost empty. By morning there were about 15 semi’s spread out across the lot, and there was still a huge amount of room. I set up in the rear of the lot which was closer to the train tracks, still 400’-500’ away, and away from where most of the trucks were parking.
I didn’t experience any of the dusty conditions others have talked about. Of course the winds weren’t up and it was raining, a summer monsoon storm. My good fortune eh.
Amazingly the trains were few between and the noise was practically nonexistent. I say this because I’ve been near tracks in Arizona where trains went by every 30 minutes or less.
The lot is far enough from I-80 that the noise from the highway is unnoticeable. The loudest noise came from trucks using their engine brakes in the short downhill off the overpass on adjacent Highway 93. Never bothered me all night long, but then it’s been said that I can sleep through bombs dropping.
An added bonus is the price of gasoline which is the cheapest in 1000 miles, for reasons I can’t fathom given the remote location of this berg. There are several brand stations here with RV islands making fueling a breeze.
There is a fine place to walk your dogs if you don’t mind walking on a gravel road alongside the RR tracks. I took mine all the way into town to the west, a half-hour walk each way, and never had a train come.

Very large area to spend a night. Dusty, especially if windy and trucks drive through. Train tracks close by but mostly quiet Thursday night. About 10 semis joined us. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but grabbed a few donuts and coffee in the morning before headed out.

Very large flat gravel parking lot. The truck noise wasn’t as bad as we thought it might be for a Saturday night. The casino was a waste of money and the attached restaurant was what you would expect for truck stop food, not bad.

Good stop for the night. Pretty level and huge. Lots of tractor trailers though. My husband n I sleep through anything but some people would be bothered by the noise. The Iron Skillet was good and rather inexpensive. Casino small but doable. There is a dump station in the parking lot also $10

A huge gravel lot that is level and free. We parked in the very back of the lot, so it was pretty quiet. Easy to walk over to the casino or gas station. Nice place for a stopover.

Great overnight spot. We parked in the back corner by the motels. It’s an old packed gravel parking lot. But it’s free. Some major potholes in the back but otherwise level. And it’s free. Yes, it was July and it was hot, it was windy and dusty, but it was so convenient, so level, so easy to pull into and out of, and cell service There was a dump there (we didn’t use), a restaurant that we walked to, a store we bought ice at. Big open space, lots of trucks in the forward part of the lot, but a few other RV's and us at the back. Lots of space. Obviously it was well lit at some point (lots of light poles), but most were not turned on - so was a little dark.
There is a train line near by (woke me up once), and a bit of road noise from the highway - but it was level, and all in all it was a great spot to crash for the night. Would use the location again.
Remember to get fuel in Wells - its a long hall both North and South.
