We stayed for one night while traveling across Oklahoma. We stayed here 20+ years ago and were looking forward to seeing the area again. We arrived in the late-afternoon just before the last cave tour and were able to park at our site and walk over to take the tour. We camped on a Monday evening and there was only one other RV and a couple of tent campers. The campground was very quiet and peaceful.

The campground is small and the sites, while paved and level with electric and water, are quite close together. The restrooms and showers are well maintained and the state park folks are nice as can be. The real attraction here is the trails and the caves. Lots of fun to explore!

RV sites have a grill and picnic table but no fire pits. Only the tent sites have fire pits. Bath/shower facilities were really clean and bug free. Showers are no longer coin operated with plenty of hot water. Little playground for kids. We had 2 bars on T-Mobile. The last night we had wind gust of 20 plus mph, which is kind of expected being out towards the panhandle. We went on the 1 hour cave tour for $10 per adult and rates for other ages vary. Children 5 and under were free and it was worth it. There was a collapse at the entrance to the cave in 2018 so now the only way to access the cave is through the exit. Over all nice quiet campground and would stay here again.

Not sure I would try and put put much more than 35 ft trailer in the sites. There may be room for bigger, but you might have to park your rig in the cavern parking lot. There is a bath and shower house, quarters for the showers. Cavern tour is right next to campground and it is well worth the $10 adult admission.

We came to Freedom to visit some family and stayed here with our 43" trailer. It was large for the campground but fit fine in the handicapped spot. We were the only campers so no issues,.The sites have electricity and water. We dumped on the way out although we could not pull through the dump station due to the tight turn and length of our rig. We had to pull in, do our business and back out.
However campground and staff were awesome. We did the tour of the caverns and it was fascinating. Will definitely come back.

We were there mid August and mid week. We had the tour and the campsite all to ourselves. Lots of mature trees. Out in the middle of nowhere. No stickers! Really enjoyed this campground. No sewer hookups, but a pretty nice dump station. We paid at the tour office which closes at 5. Not sure where to pay after hours, the next morning at 8? I think we had 3 bars of us cellular.
