“Peaceful and easy going”

Reviewed 5/28/2019

Nightly rate: $40
Days stayed: 5
Site Number: 16
Overall Rating

When we first pulled in, we were concerned only because there were a few rough looking spots. We learned the place changed hands just the week prior. The new owners, just a young couple, could not be sweeter. We have a 36’ Class A with a tow and we got the last spot on the end which is a double spot. Most spots are not $40, they are less. We had a lovely view of the Elephant Butte, the desert and the lake. The cacti was in bloom right in our lot, and you can hike all over the desert. And they have a really nice pool. The dark night sky here is awesome and it has to be the most quiet park we’ve been to. The cell service for Verizon is very good. The new owners have their work ahead for sure, but the basics are here. I have a feeling it will just get better and better. A good value for a peaceful place.

“Not Big Rig Friendly”

We were looking for an overnight stay. Price is right and access of I-25 easy. Unfortunately it’s not big rig friendly by any stretch. My 40’ MH and tow might have fit length wise but sites are narrow. No way I could fit in. Drive aisles narrow for getting in/out of site. Fine for smaller RV’s.
