We stayed 6/16-6/21, positives front desk was friendly, view of lake was pretty had 1 pool! Negatives - I sent the camp an email as it was sad to see such a beautiful place so unkept, not maintained. Grass was overgrown, potholes and macadam are in bad shape. Gravel sites are overgrown or washed away causing sites to be not level. We have a class A Motorhome & to level our tires 3 tires would have to be off the ground, so we stayed in level with being on a slant. Plenty of newish cabins , shame they didn’t seem to invest in the camp itself just the cabins! You can also rent trailers. The outside playground kids looked not safe and needs to be replaced. They had couple bath houses seemed very outdated with leaky sinks, mold on tiles and showers. They had 1 laundry quite a distance by the new cabins on top right of the map, to the right approx 30 min walk from the office or more. The arcades, pool table are quite out dated, pavilion is also outdated reminded me of a summer camp back in the 80’s. We came in on Father’s Day weekend, there were only couple activities planned and only on a Saturday nothing planned all week! No entertainment there we were there .They had a corn hole tournament Sat at 7 and that was it! No activities any other day. The next week schedule 6/23- 7 day they did have the same activities coloring/ceramics, corn hole toss, fishing and wagon ride more coloring Fri-Sat entertainment Sat night only . Our site had trash with beer tin can lids, plastic glow necklaces , hair ties etc the grass was overgrown big holes, looks like they must of out gravel was laid down maybe 5 + years ago as it looked almost gone .The view was pretty as we were on the lake, however there is no sandy beach, nor can u swim in the lake as it has been taken over by lily pads and frogs & snapping turtles . There is paddle boat rentals & peddle go carts and you can rent golf carts that are $93 day. Seemed most of the camp are seasonal campers and they have their own golf carts that is what people all seem to have here! All day & night to 11pm you hear all the carts going up & down the roadways as they are not electric! There is no dog park. The camp is very pricey and the front office doesn’t have store items, just souvenirs , no snack shop but does have ice creme. You would think they would have a convenience store but
Most of the seasonal campers live close by! The nearest Walmart is about 20 min away . They will come and dump your tanks for$35 . We felt this campground could have some potential just needs major updating. The lake is starting to turn , shame as this camp could really be something very special just needs some tlc with updated and an activity director! We will not be returning for the above reasons!
