We had a great time at La Casa de Adele! Not only are Nelly & Felipe great hosts but they do important work for non-profit organizations in the community.
We enjoyed visiting with all the farm animals. The nearby beach is breathtaking and we had it practically to ourselves. We also had an incredible view of the nearby mountains and the town of Camalu. The clams are large and plentiful, and we could hear the ocean waves from our trailer at night.
There is a pit toilet and a closed shower area outside where they use water they've warmed up. There is also a dishwashing area, barbecue area, and several hammocks.
When we were there they had pigs, a horse, two dogs and a puppy, chickens, and a few doves.
The road in is a dirt road. Sometimes water pools in some areas on the road in but we got around the pools of water just fine. As long as you go slowly, you shouldn't have any problems. We got there pretty easily with the GPS coordinates in Google Maps except on the final right turn. You should turn right about 300 meters before Google maps tell you to turn right. If you feel unsure about the way in, the hosts will meet you at the Oxxo near the highway to show you the way in.
