We tried calling the number, and a woman answered who told us to go half a mile down the road to what looked like private property, but didn’t give any other information and wasn’t very polite or helpful. We decided to stay at the Tipi Campground a few miles away.

I stayed at the GPS coordinates 1 mile from the round-about and it was fabulous! I was met by a nice young man who led me back about 1/4 mile to my own private site away from the road. Quiet and beautiful!!
WildNomad would stay here again

This quint and funky little dry camping lot is about one mile from the main highway on the paved road to Monument Valley Visitor Center.
We have a 36’ class A towing a car and had plenty of room to park with a view of the beautiful sights at Monument Valley.
The young man who runs it, did so with his mother until she died last year. Unfortunately his phone doesn’t always work and it seems like he’s struggling to keep on top of things. He has a few dogs that bark as you pull in but within a minute act like you’re their best friend.
For RVs, just pull in and find an area you like. If he’s here, he’ll collect the $25/night. If not, find a way to leave him the cash if you get here before he shows up. We saw a car pull in kate and skip out this morning, which was sad.
He also had a fire ready for us to light when we arrived.
There are three large tents about 300-400 yards further in, with an outhouse that he rents. Not sure what they cost but they looked well kept.
Don’t worry if you don’t get through on the phone or don’t get a call back (as we initially did). Just show up and you’ll be amazed at how beautiful and peaceful it is here. And by all means, if you can help him out with a website or other promotional ideas do.
Kt would stay here again

We felt safe enough but there was Debris Everywhere so we weren’t sure we would make it out without a flat tire. It was a great location, right near the entrance to the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, which I highly recommend. You will get up close views of several monuments. Well worth the $8 per person entrance fee.
There was one other rv there when we arrived around noon but they were leaving that day. A few others pulled in later that evening but only one chose to stay.
We had 3G Verizon cell service.

What a wonderful stay, actually I did plan on 3 NT and ended up a week :) It is on the road toward the entrance to The Monument Valley - on the right hand side - not much signage - just a little wind ridden hut with a "Tent" sign - Doesn't look like a lot at all, big large open spot, with some wooden stick structures, a little office hut, RV Trailer >>> That is just the entrance (!)! The actual spots are beyond the hut/office, down a dirt road away from the main road - Host will guide you to spot - They have ready to camp tents, but you can bring your own tent/ Van/RV/Trailer. CASH only (!) $25 is a great deal. Especially with that location. I have a 21' trailer, no problem, saw a much bigger Airstream one night. Spot was leveled, fire ring - out house - You don't come here for the amenities but the VIEWS :) No Verizon at all, but friends had ATT / T-Mobile./ Cellular One. But with those views, who needs to jap on the phone :)
IMPORTANT: Apple/iphone sends you in the complete opposite direction, on to a rough, dirt road passing Gouldings Campground. (!!) Make sure you got Google Direction before you leave - cell/wifi is super spotty!!

The camping is right in front of the park entrance and since you can’t drive around in a RV in monument valley, this is a great place to stay and dont spend too much money. Owners are very friendly. Sites have campfires and there are some toilets. TIP: drive to The Valley of the gods and take the dirt road, very nice drive!
