A last minute change to our plans had us reserving a spot at this surprise ranch resort. Easy access, clean, treed, with sunflowers and several other delightful plants. A few horses to greet, some cows, and a Golden Retriever. After emailing the RV camp they also allowed me to check-in early so we could head over to the Little BigHorn Battlefield as the park closes up a bit before 5 PM. Across from the national park is a Crow trading post with a restaurant that boasts of having Indian tacos and bison burgers and steak. A little pricey but very good. So far, this trip to the Little BigHorn Battlefield has been the highlight of our 13-week summer RV vacation. What a remarkable national park.
Three bars of ATT cell service afforded me the pleasure of catching up on my writing and emails. Cool overnight temps made for a restful sleep. Though also a bit pricey, this campground turned out to be a gem and I’m so glad we booked it.
The restrooms and showers were the best we’ve ever had. So clean and bright with plenty of hot water. All the sites are pull-through on gravel, with shade trees and grass, and a picnic table. There appeared to be even a little breakfast cafe but we didn’t get to imbibe as we had to move on. Free tokens for ice cream when we first arrived and also free coffee. What a great campground!

If traveling Westbound on I90, you exit and have to come back a mile or so on the frontage road. There is about 3/4 mile of gravel road to the campground. Only 3 rigs when we stayed. Have horse corrals. Beautiful views. Campground is built into a hillside so plan accordingly with leveling. Would definitely stay again.

The owners are so nice and the facilities so well maintained. By far the cleanest bathroom/showers I’ve seen at any campground.

I booked the wrong place to stay, and after looking at it (Hardin) we found this place. They are very helpful and really worked to get us a camp site for 2 nights, at the LAST minute. Thanks

We stayed here for one night after seeing the state of the Crow RV parking up the road. Fortunately, they had room for us. A portion of the access road is dirt, but it's in good shape. Everything seemed well maintained. No issues with electrical wiring or water.
Good views of the surrounding rolling plains and tons of birds.

We arrived in our 38’ Super C with Tow - were given tokens to come back to the store and get free ice cream; super nice extra! We were escorted to our site and helped with parking. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Park was immaculate. Roads and sites were heavy gravel, we were in the electric and water only section so we didn’t have very much grass. Worse part of the entire experience for us was we had absolutely no shade on our site (the tree was maybe 7’ tall and small). Sun beats down on your door side of your RV until sunset. That was miserable; even awnings didn’t provide shade due to the direction/angle. We arrived in the late afternoon and ended up having to sit inside with A/C on. Once sun was setting temperatures (which were about 90 during the day) cooled down enough to allow a walk for the dogs and trip to get our ice cream. This was the only place (so far) on our trip we had to run A/C all night. Park had ample room to navigate a large rig (there were those bigger than ours). Staff was completely accommodating in allowing us a delayed checkout as we went to The Little Big Horn Battle site first thing in the AM and we knew we wouldn’t get back to leave by 11 am. Battle site is a must do and probably why most people come here (it’s just 5 miles down the road). There is a few RV parking spaces near the visitor center so if you plan to use them you need to be there when they open at 8 am as they filled up very quickly. Due to the very hot temperatures we left our RV at this site to ensure our pets were in A/C. Couldn’t say enough good stuff about this place. The full hook up sites looked nicer - most had mature trees providing shade (as we could see people sitting outside). Highly recommend you go the FHU route to enjoy that if you are visiting in the summer.
